Cellnex deploys Ericsson's Mini-Link E-band radio for cellular backhaul uplift

Cellnex has picked Ericsson's Mini-Link 6356 E-band radio and the Ericsson Transport Automation Controller to drive RAN backhaul upgrades across its European footprint. Ericsson said Cellnex's order makes it the lead client for Mini-Link 6356 volumes globally. The E-band radios are expected to unlock enhanced capacity in cellular backhaul links coupled with improved range and energy efficiency. The rollout is already underway, following the launch of an inaugural deployment in Cellnex's Poland subsidiary.

Kazakhstan operator Transtelecom has expanded its cooperation with the national postal operator QazPost on providing internet services in villages. The operator carries out the project in 13 regions. Employees from 210 units of the post company provide customers with support when connecting to internet services from Starlink. Transtelecom is the official reseller of services from Starlink in Kazakhstan.

US cell tower operator Crown Castle has announced the appointment of Kris Hinson as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Mark Lennon as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Telia remedies fault in public warning transmission

Swedish telecoms regulator PTS said it is has concluded its investigation into Telia Company's failure to send a public information text message in Gothenburg in September 2025. Telecom operators have an obligation to transmit critical information messages (VMAs) to the public. Revenues of Polsat Plus Group totaled PLN 3.635 billion in the first quarter of this year, up by 3.0 percent year-on-year.
