ITVX records strongest month as World Cup drives streaming growth

ITVX recorded its strongest month to date in June, surpassing 400 million monthly streams for the first time as FIFA World Cup coverage drove record viewing across the streaming platform. The service delivered 468 million streams during the month, up by 173 million compared with June 2025, while monthly users reached 21 million. ITV said the platform also exceeded 2 billion streams in less than six months for the first time, reaching the milestone on 22 June.

Mitsubishi Electric has completed the acquisition of satellite ground station services provider Infostellar, making the Japanese company a wholly owned subsidiary as it expands its satellite communications business. The acquisition, completed on 1 July, combines Mitsubishi Electric's satellite and ground station development capabilities with Infostellar's cloud-based Ground Segment as a Service (GSaaS) platform, StellarStation.

SoftBank will make its Number Block nuisance call blocking service free of charge from 1 August 2026 as part of its efforts to help prevent telephone fraud.
