Rogers Communications has reported total service revenue up 16 percent to CAD 5.3 billion for Q4 2025, with quarterly adjusted EBITDA up 6 percent to CAD 2.7 billion. Megafon deploys private LTE network for coal mining company Elgaugol

Russian operator Megafon has deployed a 530-kilometre private LTE network for the coal mining company Elgaugol. The network covers a coal mine, the port of Elga and a railway line from the Republic of Sakha to the Khabarovsk region. The project was started in 2022, covering the coal mine initially, and the network was upgraded and expanded later. The LTE infrastructure works on four frequency bands, and the area covered exceeds 10,000 hectares.

Czech operator TV Nova has concluded a multi-year distribution agreement with AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE). The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has approved a public consultation to update Brazil's Frequency Band Allocation, Destination, and Distribution Plan (PDFF), paving the way for TV 3.0, the next generation of free-to-air television. Revenues of Latvia's LMT Group rose to EUR 335.1 million in 2025, up by 8.2 percent year-on-year. EBITDA amounted to EUR 98.6 million, up by 5.4 percent. The integrator Santa Monica Networks belonging to the group contributed sales of EUR 46.3 million in Latvia and Lithuania. LMT said it invested EUR 36.1 million in its network development in 2025, up by 5.8 percent.

Orange Poland, in cooperation with the company TechnoLight, a reseller of the AEC Illuminazione brand, has implemented its Smart Light solution in the Moszczenica municipality in Gorlice County in the Lesser Poland region. The street lighting management project has helped reduce power consumption by 77 percent and halve exploitation costs for the city, Orange said.

Russian operator MTS has started accepting orders for the foldable smartphone Huawei Mate X7 and the earbuds Huawei FreeClip 2 in its shops. Pre-sales last until 05 February. Customers buying the smartphone in shops during the promotional period will be offered either the smartwatch Huawei Watch Fit4 Pro or the earbuds Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 free. A RUB 4,000 discount will be offered when buying the FreeClip 2 also.

TIM Brasil and Vivo were the top performers in Opensignal's latest 'Brazil Mobile Network Experience' report, with each winning six of 14 available awards. Revenues at Telia Lithuania rose to EUR 140.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, up 7.1 percent from a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA increased 16.6 percent to EUR 48.7 million, and the net profit grew 32.9 percent to EUR 22.7 million. Capital expenditure was 26.8 percent higher at EUR 24.8 million, leading to a drop in free cash flow to EUR 26.6 million from EUR 33.3 million a year ago.

Slovak online TV service LepsiaTV plans to raise its prices from 01 February, reports Zive. The package Mini, including 65 channels, will cost EUR 5.99 instead of EUR 5.59, and the bundle Classic, containing 133 channels, will increase from EUR 9.59 to EUR 9.99. The package Top, including 146 channels, will cost EUR 12.99 instead of EUR 12.59.

MTS Exolve introduces new chatbots for businesses

Russian PBX services provider MTS Exolve, a subsidiary of the telecom operator MTS, announced that it has launched a new product,  bots for automated communication with customers. The new service was developed on the basis of AI to serve in various business communication tasks, and the AI agents offer accelerated learning capabilities, MTS said. The product can be integrated with CRM systems, databases, billing systems and internal data sources.

Cellfie adds 11 base stations in December

Georgian operator Cellfie said that it launched eleven new base stations across the country in December 2025. The network was expanded in coastal areas, mountainous regions, as well as in the capital city. The operator also activated a new frequency band in Tbilisi in December. The upgrade significantly improved the quality of mobile internet, with the average internet speed up 30 percent, and network connectivity became more stable, with latency reduced by nearly 30 percent.

Over 40% of Portuguese listen to online radio

Around 3.51 million people (40.9% of the population aged 15 and over) in mainland Portugal listen to radio online. This figure has doubled in the last decade, according to the 2025 Marktest Radio Barometer study. The number of people listening to online radio in the "last 30 days" and "last 7 days" has risen from 14.5 percent and 9.2 percent in 2015 to 29.3 percent and 22.1 percent in 2025, respectively.

Lycamobile Belgium annual revenues fall 15%

Lycamobile Belgium recorded sales of EUR 57.8 million in 2024, a fall of 15 percent from the previous year, according to its recently filed annual report. Operating profit dropped 57 percent to EUR 10.6 million, and net profit was down 63 percent over the year to EUR 7.0 million. Revenues are under pressure from the contracting prepaid segment, while a VAT fine from the Belgian tax authorities impacted profits.
