Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has introduced Google's Find Hub location service to support the recovery of lost or delayed baggage. Passengers using a compatible tracker tag or Bluetooth accessory can generate a secure, temporary link and share the location of their bag with the airline when reporting delayed or missing luggage. Russian internet company VK has announced that its messenger Max currently has 107 million registered users. The daily audience for the messenger has exceeded the threshold of 77 million in March. O2, Slovak Telekom lead porting gains in 2025

O2 Slovakia saw the most customers connect to its network in 2025 through number porting, according to figures collected by Zive.sk. O2 gained 10,312 telephone numbers. Slovak Telekom also had a net gain, of 8,171 telephone numbers. Orange Slovakia lost 11,923 telephone numbers through porting, and 4ka lost 6,384 numbers last year as well.

It can combine electronic mailing, messengers, social networks, telephony and other communication channels and save more than 30 percent of staff working time. The service also enables to automated processing of 80 percent of customer contact enquiries using an AI-based assistant. It can be integrated with popular CRM systems and messengers.

Turkcell has announced it has completed the sale of financing bonds totaling TRY 530 million. These bonds were issued specifically for qualified investors in Turkey. This issuance falls under the broader TRY 10 billion limit previously authorized by the Capital Markets Board. These bonds carry an annual simple interest rate of 41 percent, and are set to mature on 24 June this year.

UK regional operator Kcom confirmed its owners are considering a sale of the company or its assets. The note was included in its annual regulatory statement submitted to the telecoms regulator Ofcom. Kcom said it renegotiated its capital structure with the shareholders and its lenders in February.

Somali NCA provides cybersecurity certification training to government ICT professionals

The Somali National Communications Authority (NCA) has begun a training programme to provide government officials with internationally recognised cybersecurity certifications. The first phase takes place in Mogadishu from 29 March to 08 May to train participants from various government agencies. NCA director-general Mustafa Yasin Sheikh said the programme will strengthen the ability of ICT professionals at government institutions to safeguard national data and respond to the growing risks of cyber threats.
