A1 has launched the Honor Magic8 Pro flagship smartphone in Bulgaria. Chilean operator Wom has completed the installation of what it described as Chile's southernmost telecommunications antenna in the Chilean Antarctic Territory as part of its national 5G rollout. The new site, located at the Capitan Arturo Prat Base, will deliver 3G, 4G and 5G connectivity to personnel stationed there and support ongoing scientific research in one of the most remote regions on the planet.

Deutsche Telekom has appointed Uwe Heckert for the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer in its Healthcare unit, effective on 16 January. Telecom Italia's charitable arm said it has awarded a total of EUR 1.5 million to six institutions to support projects in the fields of scientific research, social inclusion and health. In 2025, Brazil's "Do Not Disturb" platform saw 1.7 million new sign-ups, bringing its total to 14.2 million phone numbers registered to block unwanted telemarketing calls from telecom companies and payroll loan offers. Vodafone leads fixed broadband speeds in Czechia in 2025 – nPerf

Vodafone Czech Republic has the fastest fixed broadband speed in the country in 2025, according to data collected by nPerf. The operator demonstrated downloads at 193.2 Mbps and uploads at 60.1 Mbps. T-Mobile followed with downloads at 154.5 Mbps and was the best for uploads, with 105.7 Mbps. The indicators of O2 were 96.3 Mbps and 55.7 Mbps, respectively.

T-Mobile leads nPerf mobile internet rankings in Poland for 2025

T-Mobile Poland had the fastest mobile internet in the country in 2025, according to a study from nPerf. The operator demonstrated downloads at 119.2 Mbps and uploads at 15.4 Mbps. Orange Poland followed with downloads at 112.5 Mbps and uploads at 15.4 Mbps. The indicators of Play, controlled by Iliad, amounted to 73.7 Mbps and 15.3 Mbps, respectively. Polkomtel, trading under the Plus brand, followed with downloads at 42.5 Mbps and uploads at 9.4 Mbps.

Slovak Telekom leads nPerf mobile internet rankings in Slovakia for 2025

Slovak Telekom had the fastest mobile internet in the country in 2025, according to a study from nPerf. The operator demonstrated downloads at 159.5 Mbps and uploads at 42.2 Mbps. O2 Slovakia followed with downloads at 93.9 Mbps and uploads at 22.9 Mbps. Orange Poland sells Oppo Reno 15 5G

Orange Poland said that it has started selling the smartphone Oppo Reno 15 5G in its shops. It has set the price of the device at PLN 2,799 without a subscription contract. The operator is offering PLN 200 cashback to customers buying the phone by 15 February.
