In the UK 3 starts the selling of its third generation mobile telephony services from February 22 online and from early March in its stores. The company revealed its pricing plan and the price of handsets. 3 has divided its service in three offers: 3ToGo for the low budget consumer, Kit On 3 for the medium user and Caboodle On 3 for heavy users. Handset prices begin at 399 pounds (EUR 606.40). 3 UK Managing Director Colin Tucker said: "We are offering consumers the kind of services that were in the realm of science fiction just a few years ago - but at pricing which is highly competitive with existing mobile voice and text services." Hutchison 3G has confirmed it will launch its UMTS service in mid-March or at the end of March, at the latest.
