ACORN LAUNCHES NEW SET-TOP BOX

Acorn Computer Group (Cambridge, UK) has launched the STB22 set-top box for interactive TV which was developed by Online Media, unit. The model is aimed at on-line banking and shopping services, interactive audio and video, multicasting, education services and Web-browsing and games. The STB22 is currently being tested in Europe, the US and Asia. Sun Microsystems is licensing Acorn's STB22 as a client for the MediaCentre corporate video servers.
