
Aircel launches 4G services in India

Indian mobile operator Aircel has launched 4G services in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar and Odisha, The Economic Times reports, citing Aircel CMO Anupam Vasudev. Aircel thus becomes the second operator to launch 4G services on the local market, following Bharti Airtel's 4G launch earlier this year. Aircel has pan-India spectrum across all 22 circles. Aircel holds 20 MHz of spectrum in the 4G LTE 2300 MHz band across eight circles, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam and North East and Jammu and Kashmir.
