Ajax football club launches MVNO

Amsterdam football club Ajax has launched its own MVNO, Ajax Mobile. Subscribers can choose from three subscription plans: 180 minutes or SMS for EUR 19.95 per month, 400 for EUR 29.95 or 650 for EUR 45.50. This equals a per-minute price of EUR 0.07, while calls outside the bundle cost EUR 0.25 per minute. After the first minute, calls are billed by the second. The first plan is offered with the Samsung Apollo phone, while the two more expensive plans come with the Galaxy S. Ajax Mobile also offer free on-net calls. Customers can also choose from a number of value-added services related to the team, some of which are free, and Ajax is working on apps for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry handsets. 6GMobile is supplying the platform for the mobile services.
