Allianz launches MVNO on T-Mobile Austria network
Financial services company Allianz is entering the Austrian mobile market with the launch of Allianz SIM. It has selected MVNE Ventocom as its partner and is offering two products. Allianz SIM phone costs EUR 14.90 per month and offers 2,000 minutes, 2,000 texts and 3 GB data. For tablets, Allianz SIM tab offers 3 GB data at speeds of up to 21 Mbps for EUR 9.90 per month. The service is provided using the T-Mobile Austria network. Allianz SIM is also providing customers with free insurance for their smartphones and tablets, used (up to 3 years old) or new.

Allianz SIM increases LTE speed

Austrian MVNO Allianz SIM increased its data speed over LTE to up to  50 Mbps for downloads and 10 Mbps for uploads, Der Standard reports. The mobile provider that launched in September offers a smartphone tariff for EUR 14.90 per month including 2,000 minutes, 2,000 SMS and 3 GB of data. For tablet users, the Allianz SIM tab tariff for EUR 9.90 per month includes 3 GB. The MVNO uses the T-Mobile Austria network.

Austrian MVNO Spusu has launched a data-only tariff with unlimited internet at up to 20 Mbps download and up to 5 Mbps upload for EUR 19 per month. The plan on the 3 Austria network has no minimum contract duration. The MVNO launched in June, offering a range of no-contract bundles at low prices.

Hofer to sell iPhone 5c for EUR 298 from 31 August

Austrian retailer Hofer will sell the Apple iPhone 5c with 8 GB for EUR 296.77 from 31 August. The device without a SIM lock will be available in white or blue. In addition from 1 September, the maximum data speed on the fix tariff from Hofer's MVNO Hot will increase to 21 Mbps. Hot plans to launch its first LTE offers by the end of the year.

Spusu launches new tariff with 3.5GB for EUR 9.89

Recently launched Austrian MVNO Spusu, active on the 3 network, has introduced the new tariff Spusu 4000. The plan includes 400 minutes, 100 SMS and 3.5 GB of data at up to 42 Mbps for EUR 9.89 per month. Unused data, minutes and SMS can be carried forward to the next month.

Tele2 Austria's net sales in the second quarter of 2015 fell to SEK 297 million from SEK 299 million the previous year, and EBITDA amounted to SEK 43 million, down from 58 million, mainly due to the decline in the residential customer base. Austrian MVNO Eety offers 3 GB for EUR 9.90

3 Austria has acquired the MVNO Eety and launched new tariffs and a sales cooperation with retailer Lidl, Der Standard reports. Two prepaid tariffs, eety Basis and eety Top, are now available. On the basic plan, subscribers are charged EUR 0.05 per minute, SMS or MB of data. Hofer to offer Moto G 4G for EUR 167 from 16 July

Austrian retailer Hofer will offer the second generation of the Motorola Moto G in the 4G version from 16 July for EUR 166.77 as long as stocks last, Der Standard reports. Vectone Mobile offers 3 GB to compensate for bad reception

Austrian budget MVNO Vectone Mobile has reacted to complaints about bad mobile reception by offering an extra free 3 GB of data as compensation, Der Standard reports. The provider operating on the T-Mobile network ascribed the faulty lines to a service update within their own system. Vectone customers can claim the additional data allowance by sending an SMS with reading '3GB' to 345 or by dialling the USSD code star 1234 hash via the dialling pad.

Spusu MVNO launches on 3 Austria network

Vienna-based Mass Response has launched the Spusu MVNO on the 3 Austria network, aiming to sell 100,000 SIM cards in the first year, WebStandard reports. Spusu also plans to launch an LTE service in the autumn. Available tariffs include Spusu 1.500 for EUR 6 a month, instead of the standard EUR 8, with 150 minutes, 50 texts and 1300 MB data.
