AR Telecom recommends clients switch to Zon - report

Portuguese daily 'Diario Economico' reports that pay-TV and telecommunications operator AR Telecom continues to recommend its clients switch to rival operator Zon Multimedia. The move is seen as part of AR Telecom's strategy of leaving the residential segment, although Portugal's Competition Authority has announced it will ascertain whether there are grounds to investigate this matter. According to the paper, AR Telecom continues to contact customers to advise them to subscribe to Zon, arguing that in certain regions, Zon's package most closely resembles its own offer.
