Nokia launches mini-laptop with AT&T, Best Buy in US Wednesday 14 October 2009 | 09:54 AM CET
 
Nokia has launched the Nokia Booklet 3G in the US with AT&T, Best Buy and Microsoft. The Intel Atom-powered Nokia Booklet 3G mini-laptop will deliver up to 12 hours of battery life, weighs less than 2.76 pounds, and offers embedded 3G/ HSPA as well as Wi-Fi. The mini-laptop also comes with an HDMI port for HD video out, a front facing camera for video calling, integrated Bluetooth and SD card reader. Other features include the glass 10.1 inch HD-ready display, integrated A-GPS with Ovi Maps, and the latest version of Ovi Suite for synching with a Nokia mobile device. The Nokia Booklet 3G will be sold at all Best Buy locations nationwide as well as at the more than 50 Best Buy Mobile standalone stores across the country. The Nokia Booklet 3G will be offered at an introductory price of USD 299.99 with an AT&T Data Connect two-year plan. The Nokia Booklet 3G should arrive in stores by mid-November, and Best Buy expects to begin taking orders online and in stores on 22 October. Best Buy associates will offer Walk Out Working on the Nokia Booklet 3G. The free service will help customers activate the device, walk through the Windows 7 operating system and make sure customers understand all of the extras including Ovi Suite, the Ovi Maps gadget, and features like Bluetooth connectivity.
