Music and TV streaming services provider Aspiro will partner with Dutch cable operator Ziggo to offer a WiMP-powered streaming music service. The agreement provides Aspiro with minimum revenues of SEK 9 million over a period of two years. The music services provider said the deal was in line with its strategy to expand its music streaming service WiMP into new markets. WiMP is currently live in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Portugal, the latter under a different brand in cooperation with Portugal Telecom. WiMP is planning to launch in several new markets including Germany, Ireland and the Benelux. Aspiro will report full year results on 3 February.
