Atheros, Wilocity to build tri-band wireless products

Fabless semiconductor company Wilocity and semiconductor maker Atheros Communications are jointly developing tri-band products based on the IEEE 802.11n standard and the new Wireless Gigabit Alliance's 60 GHz multi-gigabit wireless specification.Tri-band devices will use the 2.4, 5 and 60 GHz bands, delivering multi-gigabit data transfer speeds while maintaining compatibility with legacy Wi-Fi products.
