Atos to acquire Unify from Siemens, Gore
Atos has reached an agreement to acquire integrated communication software company Unify from its two shareholders, Gores (51%) and Siemens (49%) for an undisclosed amount. Atos said it intends to create a unique integrated proposition for unified communications and real time capabilities enhancing social collaboration, digital transformation, and business performance of its clients. 

The transaction is subject to consultation with employee representative bodies and regulator authorisation. It is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016. Founded as Siemens Enterprise Communication in 2008 and headquartered in Munich, Unify is mainly active in Europe and the Americas. It has 5,600 employees and is present in over 60 countries. It generates EUR 1.2 billion of annual revenue.

Unify expands to Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire with Itancia

French ICT group Atos's communication and collaboration software and services subisidary Unify has signed a distribution agreement with value-added distributor Itancia for Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire. Afrique Medias 24 reports that the move follows Unify's tie-up with Itancia in Morocco and several years of co-operation in Europe.

Atos grows Q1 revenue 1.6% to EUR 2.76 bln

French ICT group Atos reported revenue up 1.6 percent to EUR 2.76 billion in the first quarter, compared to EUR 2.71 billion in the first quarter of 2015. IT services revenue grew by 1 percent to EUR 2.47 billion and the Worldline payment subsidiary increased its sales by 6.7 percent to EUR 287 million. Atos confirmed its objectives for the year, including higher organic growth than in 2015 with revenue growth at constant exchange rates above 8 percent.

Atos appoints Unify CEO

French digital services group Atos has appointed Jon Pritchard as CEO of Unify, the subsidiary for communications and collaboration software and services that Atos acquired from Siemens and Gores. Pritchard, who was most recently executive vice president for indirect channels at Unify, joins the Atos executive committee. Prior to joining Unify, Pritchard was president of Comstor Worldwide and held various positions at Ingram Micro UK.

French IT services company Atos has completed the acquisition of integrated communication software and services company Unify from Gores Group and Siemens. Unify's services activity, which has around EUR 400 million of annual revenue, will be integrated in Atos's Managed Services line as of 1 February.

Atos reports Q3 revenue growth, Equens acquisition agreement

French IT services and payment system operator Atos recorded EUR 2.71 billion of revenue in the third quarter, up 22.6 percent on the third quarter of 2014. The company's IT services improved revenue by 24.6 percent to EUR 2.41 billlion and its Worldline payments division raised sales by 8.4 percent to EUR 294 million.
