News
Belgacom, in partnership with OnLive, has introduced the OnLive on-demand and instant-play video game service. Belgacom is extensively testing the service before the full launch scheduled for 2011. The games will be delivered instantly through the internet to PCs, Macs and TVs. Belgacom will offer the OnLive Game Service through its broadband network. OnLive is one of the first services that will be available on Belgacom's next-generation interactive platform, dubbed Belgacom Entertainment. Belgacom-connected OnLive gamers will be able to play and interact with OnLive gamers throughout Europe, as well as watch other OnLive gamers across the globe playing games. In addition to instant access to high-end games, Belgacom customers will also have access to community features specifically tailored for gamers of all skill levels, allowing them to record and share game video clips, watch game sessions live and use multi-player functions. Belgacom and OnLive have already deployed servers in Belgium and started testing the service with Belgacom and Tango employees. Belgacom and Tango customers will also be able to test the service before the 2011 full launch of OnLive. Belgacom customers who want to be part of the test group can sign in via the Skynet website to be selected as a tester.
