
Bharti Airtel gets USD 2.5 bln credit line from China banks

Bharti Airtel said it has received financing commitments of up to USD 2.5 Billion from China Development Bank (USD 2 billion) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (USD 500 million). The Indian operator said it will use the credit lines to further diversify its global financing pool and invest in data network growth. Bharti Airtel announced a strategic collaboration with China Mobile in March. It also has network equipment sourcing agreements with ZTE and Huawei.
