In Brazil, there are currently 4,035 Wi-Fi hot spots, centered in the southeast and south of the country, with heavy concentration in Sao Paulo, according to the latest data from Teleco. In January and February, the number of Wi-Fi hotspots grew by less than 1 percent, with new points established in Sao Paulo, which today has 2,490 compared to the 2,455 recorded in December 2010. In states where there are hotspots - Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Federal District, Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais - there were no changes in the period under examination.
