Bulgaria's Corporate Commercial Bank to offer m-payments

Bulgaria's Corporate Commercial Bank (CCB) and Hungarian companies Cellum Global Innovacios es Szolgaltato and Altus-Consalt agreed to set up a mobile payment joint venture, writes local newspaper The Sofia Echo citing an announcement made by the bank on 15 September. The JV, expected to be set up by the end of the year and to start operations in 2012, will focus on mobile payments, mobile commerce services and services based on near-field communication (NFC) technology. The lender will take part in the new business through its subsidiary Velder Consult.
