Cable takes almost half of pay-TV market in Poland

Polish cable operators control almost half the pay-TV market and a third of the internet access market, according to the industry group PIKE. At the end of the first quarter, UPC remained cable market leader with 1.096 million TV customers and 538,800 internet subscribers. Vectra followed with 773,000 TV customers and 291,800 broadband clients, and Multimedia Polska was in third with 699,000 TV subscribers and 360,500 internet customers.
