Citic buys Linx Telecommunications
Hong-Kong based telecommunication service provider Citic Telecom said it has acquired Linx Telecommunications, including Linx's 470-km fibre network in the Baltic Sea, and its network operations centres (NOCs) in Moscow, Russia, and Tallinn, Estonia. The deal extends Citic's footprint to Central Asia and Eastern Europe. No financial details were provided.

Linxdatacenter to re-invest telecom sale proceeds

Russian data centre operator Linxdatacenter said it will use the proceed from selling its telecommunications unit Linxtelecom to invest in its core business, reports Tdaily.ru. China-based operator Citic Telecom announced in April an agreement to acquire the unit. Linxdatacenter plans to use the proceeds from the sale to invest in its core business, including data centres in Moscow, St Petersburg and Warsaw. The company will also continue developing its cloud services on the basis of the LinxCloud platform.

CBb gispt PwC-onderzoek naar oud-CEO Linx Telecom

Het College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven (CBb) handhaaft een berisping voor een PwC accountant/partner, meldt het FD. Deze accountant heeft volgens de bestuursrechter onzorgvuldig gehandeld in een arbeidsconflict in 2013. Het bedrijf Linx Telecom (aanleg van kabels in Polen, Rusland en de Baltische staten) ontsloeg zijn CEO, de pas kort daarvoor aangetreden Mark Gibbs. Linx gebruikte onderzoek van PwC om de ontslagprocedure te onderbouwen. Dat PwC onderzoek naar het salaris van Gibbs deugde echter niet
