Comcast goes OTT with live TV streaming service
Comcast announced a new streaming TV service to offer to broadband customers. The Stream service will offer live TV from around a dozen channels, including all the major broadcast networks and HBO, available on computers, tablets and phones over the home broadband network. In addition, customers will have access to a video-on-demand library and catch-up TV outside the home, and a cloud DVR for recording programmes.

Stream will be available to Xfinity Internet customers for USD 15 per month and will first launch in Boston at the end of the summer. It will expand gradually, next to Chicago and Seattle, with all Comcast customers able to subscribe by early 2016. Customers can subscribe online and then download the Xfinity TV app to start watching the service.
