CompuServe Netherlands launches VoIP

Dutch ISP CompuServe Netherlands has launched a VoIP service. CompuServe offers two options: Compuserve Telefonie Basis and CompuServe Telefonie Totaal. Compuserve Telefonie Basis costs EUR 5 per month on top of an ADSL subscription and includes a CompuServe phone number. Customers also keep their old KPN telephone number. Calls to fixed numbers in the Netherlands are free, customers do not have to pay a connection fee and the ISP offers a free multi-pc modem to VoIP subscribers. The Telefonie Totaal package costs EUR 14.95 on top of the ADSL package and allows subscribers to port their KPN telephone number to CompuServe which costs EUR 29.95 (once off) and customers can then cancel their KPN subscription. ADSL and VoIP packages start at EUR 14.95 for 2048/830 Kbps, a 5120/830 Kbps VoIP and ADSL package costs EUR 29.95, and 8064/830 Kbps and VoIP costs EUR 34.95 per month.
