Consumers willing to pay for exclusive IPTV content - survey

Consumers in Germany, France and the UK show an increased willingness to pay for IPTV products, content and higher quality for content that is not freely available via other platforms, according to research from Goetzpartners. Video-on-demand (VoD) offerings and interactive features are the IPTV products consumers are most willing to pay for. However, the majority of consumers do not believe that mobile access to content is worth paying extra for. They are willing to pay extra for content such as football, adult content and films, with around 40-50 percent of respondents prepared to pay extra for HDTV, 3D content and improved sound quality.
