D-Link has expanded its Cavium-based VPN routers suitable for SMBs with advanced network and security features. D-Link's SMB VPN routers are powered by Cavium's advanced Econa processor family with platforms targeting low-, mid-, and high-end consumer and SMB router and network attached storage (NAS) markets. Based on Cavium's Econa SoC, D-Link's DSR-250N delivers high-performance Unified Services Router functionalities that can connect multiple offices with high throughput VPN connections and Gigabit Ethernet and wireless LAN connectivity. Suitable for SMB and home gateway applications, Cavium's Econa processors are architected to provide the combination of performance per dollar and performance per watt in the industry. Cavium's Econa family of highly integrated ARM-based SoC processors offer a set of integrated hardware accelerators and a range of I/Os for voice and data connectivity. The Econa family of products are suited for high-performance wireless routers, broadband home gateways and NAS devices.
