Davao opens bidding for Wi-Fi comms system

The Philippine city of Davao has opened the bidding process for a Wi-Fi communications system as proposed by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). The Wi-Fi system would link government agencies to provide faster and efficient disaster and emergency response, The Sun Star reports citing Davao Mayor Sara Dutert-Carpio. The financial aspect of the proposed system is yet to be settled between the city and the NTC.
