Deutsche Telekom expands hosting offerings

Deutsche Telekom expanded its Telekom Homepage hosting offerings with the design assistant 'Homepage creator' and the file sharing service 'WebShare.' Thanks to the new design assistant, even users unfamiliar with technology or design can create a professional homepage and launch it online. The Homepage Creator contains around 70 design templates that can be customised to individual needs. Users can, for instance, edit texts, select color schemes or embed images intuitively. The design assistant is included as standard in all Homepage packages from Telekom. WebShare, the other free-of-charge service added to all Homepage packages from Telekom, enables users to share large files. Thanks to WebShare, users who wish to share their own films with friends can use their own web space and upload the relevant files, which are password-protected and can then be viewed online. Selected persons who can subsequently access the files can be notified via e-mail. Both Homepage Creator and WebShare are included in all Telekom Homepage packages. Users who opt for 'Homepage Basic' before the end of September will receive, for one, a package with three desired domain names at no extra cost for the first six months and do not need to pay any setup charges. At the same time, customers are also offered the 'Homepage Shop' packages, with which they can launch a professional online shop on the internet. Among other features, the package includes design templates for 100 business sectors, different payment methods as well as unlimited transfer volume and storage space. As part of a promotional offer, customers who sign up by the end of September can get 'Shop Basic' with 1,000 articles in 100 categories as well as a calendar management and booking system, free of charge for a period of three months.
