Deutsche Telekom mulls charges for special internet services
Deutsche Telekom could charge start-ups to improve the quality of their services under new EU net neutrality rules. In a blog posting, CEO Timotheus Hoettges said that start-ups need special services to have a chance of keeping up with large internet providers. Deutsche Telekom estimates that start-ups would pay a couple of percent for special services in the form of revenue-sharing. He believes this would be a fair contribution for the use of infrastructure and would ensure more competition on the internet.
