DirecTV unveils TiVo HD DVR

US satellite TV provider DirecTV has launched TiVo HD DVR, which enables DirecTV customers to access TiVo service integrated with their DirecTV service. DirecTV customers nationwide can experience the TiVo HD DVR which combines TiVo's user interface with DirecTV's lineup of HD programming. With the introduction of this product, DirectTV customers can again experience TiVo's gold-standard interface, peanut remote and Swivel Search feature. With the TiVo HD DVR from DirecTV, users can set Season Pass Recordings that will automatically record all of a user's shows each week, create WishList Searches, which allow users to set up automatic recordings for TV shows and movies based on keywords, take utility of the TiVo Suggestions feature which discovers users' shows and automatically, records similar shows. Users can also find their shows in HD across TV and on DirecTV cinema, record up to 100 hours of HD programming or 400 hours of SD shows, record two shows at once and access over 7,000 on-demand movies and shows.
