Dutch govt sets up new National App Prize

The Dutch government wants to set up a National App Prize for the best new app used for open government data. The prize, with an award of EUR 12,500, will be handed out every year. euros. By setting up the new app prize, minister of economic affairs Maxime Verhagen is following up on the Apps for the Netherlands contest which it also organised this year. Vistory won that competition, with the award announced in Utrecht on 26 January. Vistory developed an app which shows the Dutch history of the place where the user happens to be, in images and film.
