eBay launches RedLaser comparison shopping app

RedLaser, a barcode and QR code scanning mobile app acquired by eBay in 2010, has launched the RedLaser 3.0 app for iPhone. The app is a comparison shopping tool, which combines aspects of eBay's mobile properties to standardize and enable the shopping and buying flow. The app leverages local availability information from Milo, PayPal mobile express checkout and RedLaser barcode comparison shopping. Shoppers can now access both online and offline inventory, find the best price, purchase the item and either pick it up at a local store or have it delivered at home. The RedLaser 3.0 application features a redesigned interface with easier access to scanning, searching lists and QR code creation. With categorized shopping lists, app users can organize their products to create shopping lists, wish lists or gift lists and share them via Facebook, SMS and email. Customers can download the RedLaser 3.0 app free of charge in the iTunes App store.
