ETB revenues rise 3.8% in H1, net profit drops

Colombian operator Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota (ETB) saw its first-half net profit plunge to COP 41.64 billion, versus COP 244.17 billion in the year-earlier period, Portafolio reports. ETB's overall revenues reached COP 724.7 billion, up by 3.8 percent from June 2009. Sales were mainly boosted by ETB's internet business, followed by the local telephony segment.
