Free Mobile delays handset sales by a week

French operator Free Mobile, which launched on 10 January by signing up Sim-only customers, has delayed the sale of handsets, originally scheduled for 24 January. The phone section of the operator's website now states that full-value purchases will be possible from the week of 30 January and that instalment payments will be proposed in the next few weeks. The phones listed are the ZTE F160 for EUR 49, the Huawei U8350 for EUR 120.76, the ZTE Blade S for EUR 144.76, the Samsung Galaxy Y for EUR 144.76, Galaxy S for EUR 220.76 and Galaxy SII for EUR 541. The Blackberry Curve 3G and iPhone 4S are shown as 'available soon'.
