German teleshopping revenue to grow to EUR 2 bln in 2016

German teleshopping revenues are expected to grow driven by the combination of TV, internet and mobile apps, according to a study by Goldmedia for German teleshopping TV channel QVC Deutschland. The German teleshopping market is expected to grow to EUR 1.5 billion by the end of this year and with a CAGR of 7 percent will reach EUR 2 billion in revenues by 2016. The growth is driven by consumers using internet, hybrid TVs and mobile devices to purchase goods next to TV. For example internet was responsible for 16 percent of all teleshopping revenue in 2010 and will grow to 32 percent in 2016 at the same time the share of mobile sales channels is expected to grow to 6 percent in 2016.
