
Google has partnered with Spice Global to establish Android stores across India, starting with New Delhi, later this year. The "Android Nation" stores will sell Android smartphones and tablets of multiple brands and will also include an Android experience centre for customers, The Times of India reports. Google first rolled out Android Nation stores in Indonesia, and India is the second country to get the retail stores. Spice chairman B. K. Modi, said that the partnership with Google also aims to push Android devices in the Middle East, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Africa. Furthermore, Google is supporting Spice Global to bring Chinese smartphone brand Coolpad to India. The Spice Coolpad co-branded products will also be sold through Android Nation. Spice, which operates 900 Spice Hotspots, will convert around fifty stores to Android Nation stores to rapidly expand the franchise.
