Hub Telecom chooses Alcatel's IMS system

Wednesday 5 November 2008 | 12:00 CET | News
Alcatel-Lucent and French operator Hub Telecom have signed a strategic partnership under which Alcatel-Lucent will supply and integrate an IMS service for Hub Telecom, a subsidiary of the Aeroports de Paris group. Hub Telecom will incorporate the new Alcatel-Lucent 5060 IP Call Server into its core network. The 5060 ICS relies on an IMS platform, together with shared hardware and software components, to provide advanced multimedia services. Alcatel-Lucent's IMS service also includes Centrex IMS functions. Hub Telecom intends to migrate to an IP environment and the Alcatel-Lucent system includes provision of the entire system and its integration into the operator's network. The service will enable Hub Telecom to control the implementation schedule and proceed with the commercial launch of its IMS services in 2009.
