HUTCHISON TO LAUNCH CDMA NETWORK IN MID-2000

Hutchison Telecommunications, company backed by Hutchison Whampoa, said it is on track for its full commercial launch of a CDMA wireless service in Australia in mid-2000. The company launched such services in Sydney, Australia, in December 1999. The company is building the ADlr500 mil mobile phone network in Melbourne, Australia, and Sydney.
