
Indosat upgrades HSPA network to 21 Mbps

Indonesian mobile operator Indosat has upgraded its HSPA network to offer download speeds of 21 Mbps and upload speeds of 5.8 Mbps. The operator successfully completed tests in October for the upgraded network. Previously, Indosat offered download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps and upload speeds of 1.4 Mbps. The upgraded speeds will be available at the end of this year in Greater Jakarta. The company offers HSPA services in 26 cities and has about 500,000 subscribers for the service.
