Internet has become the most important medium in Germany according to new IPTV research from Goetzpartners. The study among consumers in Germany, England and France showed that traditional TV is no longer the number one medium in Germany. Ninety-two percent of Germans access the internet regularly, an increase of 19.5 percent compared to 2010, while only 90.5 percent of Germans regularly watch TV. The study also found that most IPTV users access TV content via the television and PC, while only a small number of respondents use tablets or smartphones. User-generated content, music and erotic content are also often accessed via tablets and smartphones.
