Intrinsyc to distribute AnyData's M2M modules

Intrinsyc Software International has signed a distribution agreement with mobile device manufacturer AnyData. Intrinsyc will distribute and support AnyData's M2M modules based on Qualcomm's Internet of Everything Module (IEM) technology. The DTW series of embedded CDMA and GSM/HSPA modules serve as the communications platform for an array of connected devices, including digital photo frames, mobile healthcare devices, smart grid and meter readers, automotive telematics, and other vertical applications. All modules in the AnyData DTW series include GPS for real-time tracking and accelerometer for motion sensing applications. The DTW series of miniature embedded modules will utilise the same 90-pin connector and USB 2.0 interface. The AnyData DTW-200 module operates on CDMA 1X networks while the AnyData DTW-500 utilises 3G EVDO Rev A technology. The AnyData DTW-400 module operates on UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks, while the DTW-600 version operates on quad band GSM networks as well as tri-band UMTS networks that support high speed HSPA technology. With the addition of production M2M modules from AnyData, Intrinsyc can supply OEMs with a range of products and services for the M2M market; development kits, training, HW design, application development, integration, support, and modules. OEMs interested in utilising the DTW series of modules can begin their engagement at Intrinsyc with the iQ Wireless Development Kit, a development platform for creating real-time, location aware systems. The kit enables accelerated hardware and software development, evaluation, and testing of the AnyData modules providing a transfer of a customer's application and hardware design into manufacture. The AnyData M2M modules are available for shipment from Intrinsyc in sample and production quantities.
