Introduction of DTT in Montenegro put back until 15 June

Friday 23 December 2011 | 12:23 CET | News
Montenegrin broadcaster Antena M reported on 22 December that the deadline to start installing DVB-T2 transmission equipment has been postponed until 15 June 2012. The contract was awarded to Italian company Eurotel in May, but several of the participants in the tender appealed. Their complaints are still being processed, so in the best-case scenario, installation work could be completed by the end of August 2012. As the government has prescribed a half-year period for parallel broadcasting of analogue and digital TV signals, the complete switchover to DTT is unlikely before the spring of 2013.
