Israel seeks changes to Cellcom, Golan network-sharing deal
The Israeli communications ministry has told Cellcom and Golan Telecom to make substantial changes to their network-sharing agreements in order to receive regulatory approval. In a statement, Cellcom said it's studying the implications of the requested changes and is working with Golan in order to receive the government's approval to the agreements. The company did not provide further details on which areas the government would like to see changed. The two operators already made changes to the deal last September in order to gain regulatory approval. The agreement centres on sharing 2G and 3G sites and building a joint 4G radio network.
