Italy gets 5 bidders for mobile spectrum

A total of five companies submitted applications for participation in the auction of radio frequency rights in the 800, 1800, 2000 and 2600 MHz bands in Italy, according to the Ministry of Economic Development. These are Linkem, 3 Italia, Vodafone Italia, Telecom Italia and Wind. The ministry will publish by 29 July a list of those admitted to take part in the auction. The companies will in turn have 30 days to submit their bids, i.e. no later than 29 August, and the bids will be opened in a public session scheduled for 30 August.
