Jajah offers online calling service for Facebook users

Wednesday 13 April 2011 | 11:37 CET | News
VoIP services provider Jajah has released Facebook Call, the calling service for Facebook, allowing users to call online friends anywhere in the world. The calls are free from Jajah, and the person receiving the call needs to be a friend on Facebook. There is no need for the users to reveal their phone number, no need for the other person to sign up or download as the call is connected directly into Facebook. To make a Facebook Call, users can download the Jajah App from Android Market, connect to Facebook and select a friend from the 'online friends' list. Users will then receive a message within Facebook chat advising of the call. Once they accept, the call is connected into their browser. Contacts are automatically loaded from the phone for click to call, or enter a phone number. The application uses the internet (Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS) to set up the call. Users in the US and Canada can download the application, which is in beta, now available on Android Market, with iPhone version coming soon.
