Kcell deploys Comptel platform to support 3G rollout

Kazakhstan mobile operator Kcell contracted Comptel, a vendor of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, to replace its existing provisioning system with Comptel Provisioning and Activation and support its 3G rollout. Comptel Provisioning and Activation offered not only the transparent deployment and integration with existing OSS/BSS systems, but also an agile Service Oriented Architecture to support Kcell's future OSS/BSS needs. The platform was deployed and put into production in less than three months. Comptel Provisioning and Activation enables operators to fully automate the process of handling subscriber orders, to activating resources and services in the network, all the way up to the start of billing. The platform helps operators control costs, reduce manual errors and deliver services to subscribers without delay. Comptel Provisioning and Activation is part of Comptel Fulfillment, a fully integrated suite of products that also encompasses order management, catalog, and service and resource inventory capabilities.
