
The first smartphone running Qualcomm's new top-end processor the Snapdragon 820 was unveiled at CES, the Le Max Pro from Chinese manufacturer LeTV. Expected to be available in the first half of 2016, the Le Max Pro also features Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID fingerprint technology with liveness detection, the X12 LTE modem for download speeds up to 600 Mbps and multi-gigabit 802.11ad Wi-Fi, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
Qualcomm first previewed the Snapdragon 820 in November 2015. In addition to faster connectivity options with the integrated modem, the 820 comes with the new Qualcomm Kryo CPU which offers double the performance and efficiency compared to its predecessor in the Snapdragon 810 and the new Hexagon 680 DSP for improved performance and battery life.
