Macedonia ends Q3 2011 with 413,468 fixed lines

The total number of fixed line subscribers in Macedonia rose by 0.33 percent on the year to 413,468 in the third quarter of 2011, the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC) said. Compared with the previous quarter, the number of fixed line subscribers fell 0.43 percent. The number of IPTV subscribers rose 51.03 percent on the year to 35,409. The number of DVB-T subscribers rose by 37.96 percent on the year to 49,003 while the number of overall pay-TV subscribers rose by 7.64 percent on the year to 241,692 at end-September. Compared with the previous quarter, the number of paid TV subscribers in the June-September period rose by 0.87 percent.
