The three Macedonian mobile operators - T-Mobile, Vip Operator and One – have received approval for using radio frequencies to provide 4G mobile communication services. After payment of a one-time fee of EUR 10.3 million, the operators will receive the licences. They were selected after a public auction organised by the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEK) for awarding three licences to use frequencies in the range 790-862 MHz and 1710-1880 MHz. With the awarding of 4G frequencies, the Agency expects that users will get higher speeds of mobile broadband, lower prices, new investments and better coverage.
