Austria media authority KommAustria has announced two nationwide frequency multiplexes dedicated for building a digital terrestrial TV (DTT) broadcast network supporting the new DVB-T2 transmission standard. The new technology will allow more TV programmes to be broadcast in a single TV channel. The new MUX D and E frequency multiplexes can be used to broadcast up to 20 TV programmes in digital quality. Interested parties can submit their proposals for building a DVB-T2 network by 15 November.
