Movistar Costa Rica introduces 4G service
Movistar Costa Rica has introduced LTE from 4 July. Customers interested in accessing the network will have to get a 4G SIM card in any of the Movistar shops, in addition to a phone that supports 4G technology. Additionally, they will have to purchase the 4G LTE Postpaid package with 2 GB download for CRC 10,000. The plan can be activated by sending a SMS to the number 606 with the word 4G. The LTE plan also includes free calls and unlimited text messages to numbers in the national Movistar network. Customers who sign up by 4 July will get double the download allowance, at 4 GB.
